Example with sample data: two pending captures, with one selected. On mobile, the image focuses on search, filters and the bottom action bar. Enlarge for the complete desktop example.
Search by name and narrow the status.
Use Filters for project and date options.
Select a capture to reveal Import to projects, Append to guide, Rename and Remove.
Open Captures. Enter part of its name in Search captures, then choose All statuses, Pending, Imported or Error.
Open Filters to narrow by Project, Not imported yet, From or To. Use Clear filters if the expected recording disappears.
Open a capture to check its preview. Select its checkbox to show Import to projects, Append to guide, Rename, Download and Remove.
Tip
Rename and Append to guide require a single selected capture. Clear selection before choosing a different task.
Check the imported source
Find source material in a projectExample with sample data
Example with sample data: Upload video starts from the project workspace. This image shows the entry point, not an upload in progress or the generation dialog.
After importing a capture, open the destination project to inspect its source and generated guides. Videos provides another place to find sources and inspect processing status. A completed import and a completed guide are separate milestones.
Expected result
A useful recording is identifiable by its task name, checked in preview, and linked to the intended project before generation.

Filter and find captures
Combine search, status, project and date filters to locate the recordings you need.
Search and filter CapturesExample with sample data
Example with sample data: two pending captures, with one selected. On mobile, the image focuses on search, filters and the bottom action bar. Enlarge for the complete desktop example.
Search by name and narrow the status.
Use Filters for project and date options.
Select a capture to reveal Import to projects, Append to guide, Rename and Remove.
Open Captures and type a recognisable part of the recording name in Search captures.
Choose All statuses, Pending, Imported or Error in Filter by status. The Total, Imported, Pending and Error tiles also change the status filter.
Choose Latest or Oldest in Sort captures. Switch between List view and Detailed view to inspect the results.
Example with sample data
Example: search for “Demo onboarding”, then choose Pending to find a sample recording awaiting import.
Narrow by project or date
Choose Filters to expand the extra controls.
Choose a Project, or select Not imported yet to find captures without a project import. These are alternate project filters; selecting a project replaces Not imported yet.
Set From and To for the recording date range. Keep From on or before To.
Check the result count and use the pagination controls to move through matching recordings.
Tip
Status, search and date filters can combine. A capture can be hidden by another active filter even when its name matches.
If the recording is missing
Expand Filters and choose Clear filters, then check the list again.
Confirm that you saved the recording to Captures in the extension and are signed in to the same account.
If it is still missing, report the recording time, account and save error through Support. Do not record the whole task again until you have checked for a saved copy.
Expected result
The list shows recordings matching the remaining filters. Clearing filters does not delete recordings.

Rename a capture
Give a saved recording a clear task name without importing it again.
Example with sample data: enter a recognisable task name in Capture title, then choose Save.
Open Captures and select exactly one recording using its checkbox.
Choose Rename in the selection bar.
In Rename capture, replace the Capture title with a clear, non-empty name.
Choose Save and wait for the dialog to close. Check the updated name in the list.
Example with sample data
Example capture title: “Demo account — update notification preferences”. Use sample names instead of real customer details.
If Rename or Save is disabled
Rename requires exactly one selected capture. Use Clear selection, then select the intended recording. Save requires a non-empty title and is disabled while the change is saving.
If an error appears in the dialog, keep your intended title, check the message and retry once the cause is resolved.
Expected result
The capture title changes in the library. Renaming does not generate a guide.

Import one or more captures to projects
Select saved recordings, choose destination projects and check each import result.
Choose destination projectsExample with sample data
Example with sample data: select the destination project checkbox, then Import. This example has one capture and one destination selected.
Open Captures and preview the intended recording.
Open its actions menu and choose Import to projects.
In Destination projects, tick each project that should receive the recording. Projects marked already imported cannot be selected in this single-capture dialog. Use Search projects if the search field is shown.
Choose Import. Keep the page open while the notice says Starting imports.
Wait until IPPO confirms that imports started and says you can close the window. Open the destination project and follow processing until the source is ready.
Expected result
The selected projects receive imports of the capture. An import-started message means background processing has begun; it does not confirm that a guide is ready.
Import several captures
Select the checkboxes for the captures you want. Check the selected count and recording names.
Choose Import to projects in the selection bar.
Tick the destination projects in the checklist, then choose Import. Every selected capture is submitted to each chosen project.
Read the import notice for failures as well as successes. Check the destination projects before retrying any failed combination.
Use Clear selection when you have finished.
Example with sample data
Example: select two sample captures and one training project to import both recordings into that project.
If import is unavailable
If no projects appear, create a project or ask its administrator for access.
If Import is disabled inside the dialog, select at least one destination project.
If the recording file is unavailable, the capture cannot be imported. Check the original recording or contact Support with the capture name and error.
For a partial failure, note the affected capture and destination. Check successful destinations before retrying to avoid unnecessary duplicate work.
Permission
You need permission to add content to the destination project. Seeing a project name does not override its access checks.

Delete a recording safely
Check the selected item and the deletion dialog before removing source material.
Check the selected captureExample with sample data
Example with sample data: verify the selected recording before using Remove in the selection bar. Read the deletion confirmation in IPPO before continuing.
Search by name and narrow the status.
Use Filters for project and date options.
Select a capture to reveal Import to projects, Append to guide, Rename and Remove.
Captures and project Videos have different removal dialogs. Check the name and preview first, and read the dialog for the exact content affected.
Important
Removing a capture is permanent. The Captures confirmation says the captured video and side-panel data are removed from the capture inbox.
Remove a capture
Open Captures and open the recording’s actions menu. Choose Remove.
In Remove capture?, check the recording name. Choose Cancel to keep it, or Remove capture to confirm.
Wait for the recording to disappear from the list. If an error appears, read it before trying again.
Remove selected captures
Select the intended capture checkboxes and check the selected count.
Choose Remove in the selection bar.
Read Remove selected captures?, then choose Remove only when every selected recording can be discarded.
Project sources and downloaded copies
To remove a project source video, open its project and use Delete on the source, then read that separate confirmation. Removing an item in IPPO does not recall downloaded copies; handle those under your team’s retention process.
